KRILL OIL. Click

In the coldest waters of the Artic Ocean live these small red-colored
crustaceans called KRILL. They are able to survive in a frigid
environment because they have a high content of long-chained
polyunsaturated fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and
docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), making them fluid in cold temperatures.
Krill
are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids. In fact, the oils
contained in krill are better absorbed into the brain and nervous tissue
than fish oil!*
As far as being an antioxidant, krill (unlike
fish oil) contains a compound astaxanthin that has 48 times more
antioxidant power than fish oil (ORAC value).*
Krill oil is
better than fish oil at:
- Lowering total cholesterol*
- Lowering
LDL cholesterol*
- Raising HDL cholesterol*
- Lowering
triglycerides*
- Lowering glucose levels*
Krill oil is
also used clinically for inflammation / arthritis pain, and premenstrual
syndrome.
Effective dosing of krill oil should be guided by a
physician, and depends on your body weight and specific health concerns.
There
are currently no known toxicity levels for krill oil.
Krill Oil
is available at Natural Path Medical Center.
